Question 1

Can you take same-day bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we accept same-day requests and do our best to confirm as quickly as possible. We recommend contacting us directly by phone for urgent bookings so we can act straight away.

Question 2

What does your vetting process involve?

Accepted Answer

Every candidate is met face-to-face for an in-person interview, reference-checked with previous employers, and assessed on a trial shift. We never place staff we haven't met ourselves.

Question 3

What are your minimum notice requirements?

Accepted Answer

We accept same-day and emergency bookings 24/7 via our dispatch line. For planned events, 48–72 hours notice ensures optimal matching — but we will always do our best with less.

Question 4

What roles do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We focus entirely on hospitality, from entry level to management — hotels, bars, restaurants and event venues, kitchens, cafés and food outlets, and events and festivals.

Question 5

How does billing work?

Accepted Answer

Clean, simple invoicing after each shift or weekly depending on your volume. No agency subscription fees, no hidden charges — you pay for hours worked plus our placement margin.

Question 6

What areas do you operate in?

Accepted Answer

We are Edinburgh specialists, but we also place in Glasgow and Dundee.

Question 7

How do I register with QHR?

Accepted Answer

Fill in our short online registration form — it takes under 5 minutes. We follow up for a brief call or in-person meeting.

Question 8

Do I need previous hospitality experience?

Accepted Answer

For most roles yes — we place working professionals. However for some entry-level positions we do consider strong candidates new to the industry.

Question 9

Can I choose which shifts I take?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We send you available shifts that match your profile and you accept only what works for you. No minimum hours, no pressure — total flexibility around your schedule.

Question 10

When will I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Every Friday without exception. We run weekly payroll and transfer directly to your bank. No delays, no waiting on clients to settle invoices first.
